Matboard & backing specifications

Profile Australia only uses mat boards and backings made using premium quality, acid-free pulp which is buffered with calcium carbonite to provide long-lasting protection for your pictures. Featuring a crisp white bevel cut window opening, the mat boards and backing are solid 4-ply, 1.4mm thick.

Produced in our Sydney workshop, our mat boards are professionally bevel-cut to precision with our state-of-the-art Swiss-made precision computerised matcutter, ensuring a perfect fit for your images.

Additional specifications:

• Premium, ultimate white 4 ply acid-free matboards and backing mounts, buffered with calcium carbonate for longevity.
• Thick and durable 40 micron cello bag is resealable, acid-free and won’t easily wrinkle or tear.
• The internal window openings of our window matboards are cut slightly smaller than the image dimensions shown, so there can be a 3-5mm overlap of matboard all around the photo, picture or artwork.
• The external dimensions of these matboards and backings are cut to exact inches to match common frame sizes.
• Because PC and device screens vary so differently, colours displayed may differ slightly from the actual matboard colour.
